Newbie w/#of wiimotes question

Hi all,
Santa will be bringing us a Wii, and I want to know what additional items to ask Santa for so that our family of three can play wiisports together immediately. Do we need three wiimotes, or will two suffice? And how many nunchucks do we need for wiisports? Any other suggestions for other games we might like (two parents and a 10 year old daughter)?

you just need 2 wiimotes and 2 nunchuks, the games in wii sports that require more than one only use 2
