NBA Jam to be Resurrected for the Wii -1.052010-01-06 00:11:42dascrowDigital Spy is today reporting that EA Sports is intending to resurrect the popular ‘90s basketball game NBA Jam exclusively for the Wii. According to Digital Spy, ESPN is reporting that Mark Turmell, the creator of the original game, will be heading up development of the brand new Wii version at EA’s Vancouver studio. Is it possible that this is in fact the new EA Sports game that everyone has been speculating about since EA Sports community manager Alain Quinto tweeted that EA would be making a special announcement about a new game in January? Maybe so, or maybe he was referring to the rumored new football game? All the secrecy is very frustrating, EA! The original game was a massive hit when it was released to arcades in the US in 1993, and went on to be released on the Super NES and Mega Drive consoles as well as the Game Boy and Game Gear.
