Wii-owning racing fans who might have been feeling a little hard done by of late have something very impressive to cheer themselves up with today as Eutechnyx and Activision’s NASCAR The Game 2011 finally roars onto the console. The game boasts unsurpassed pack-racing physics, according to the developers, and features 43 real-world racers in 43 cars, dicing with death and racing each other around 23 faithfully recreated tracks. *Fans of such NASCAR heroes as Carl Edwards, Dale Earnhardt, Jr, Joey Logano and Tony Stewart will be pleased to see them included in the game, and you can also create your own custom driver if you wish. Fans can expect to participate in some epic showdowns over the course of a season in pursuit of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Championship, with the physics engine requiring that only the best will do from the drivers to get their race lines bang on and avoid smashes and crashes. And for those who achieve victory on the track and want to rub it in, the all-new celebration mode features burnouts, donuts, and all manner of in-your-face rabble rousing.
The game is compatible with the Wii Classic Controller, GameCube Controller and wheels and is available now for an MSRP of $49.99.
