Moving around the world with your Wii.

I might be moving to Dubai and with that I'd be taking my Wii console, now could you tell me if i'd need to have a chip in my Wii or something for me to play games bought there.

Maybe it would be a good idea to make a thread about the places and what games you can play if you understand me, for people not tech smart as me.

I live in the UK. My Wii i from the UK aswell

The Wii is region locked, meaning you can't play US games in UK, and so on.

You could get the mod chip to allow you to play other region's games, or you could just buy your region's games off eBay or whatever. Or you could try trading in your Wii for one from Dubai. =P

I dunno if Dubai and UK games are the same (PAL), I think they are..

check if Dubai and UK games are PAL. If they arent, i would recommend asking nintendo, Good Luck in Dubai
