MOH:H2 Am I lagging?

So I just got home with the game. Love It! I registered with ea online and started playing. I was surprised at how smooth the game ran online. I was expecting some jumpiness considering my connection varies rapidly. I can have 50ms ping time at one second then drop to 250ms the next. Is their a way to see my connection quality/status on the game? Also, The first few matches I played online sometimes it's like I wasn't even being seen. Is that me lagging because of my unstable connection or are some people playing just really not seeing me?
