Miyamoto: Next Wii Legend of Zelda Game Using MotionPlus-1.052009-11-05 09:54:59Maura SGameLife are reporting that in a recent Q&A session in Tokyo, Shigeru Miyamoto revealed that the next Wii Zelda game (working title The Legend of Zelda) will use the MotionPlus accessory to enhance control when handling weapons such as swords. “In this [instalment of the series] we’re using MotionPlus to make you feel much more like you’re actually fighting while holding a sword in your hand,” he said. He added that the player will use MotionPlus to select targets in the game, rather than the usual infrared sensor. “In the previous game, you aimed at things by pointing at the screen, but this time we’ll use MotionPlus to create a much more convenient targeting system and a more pleasurable playing experience.” From other comments Miyamoto has made recently, it’s possible that the next Zelda game will even be MotionPlus exclusive, meaning that you will have to buy the add-on in order to play the game. Or maybe there will be a special MotionPlus Zelda bundle – Nintendo do love their bundles after all! For now you can enjoy the concept art from the forthcoming game below, which was revealed by Miyamoto at this year’s E3.
