Mii's parade. Why?

I am not sure what the point is for Mii parades. I have never tried this before so forgive me.
Can you chat with the other Mii's or have the other Mii's featured in Wii sports?
What happens if you get a friend code and have the user in your parade then the user changes there Mii to look different. Will you get a updated version of your friends Mii automatically?
