Long time doubter, first time gamer.

Hello all. I'm 37 and just bought my first video game.

Is there anyone out there that can help me play GC games on my Wii? I can't even get them to start. :tard:

make sure the game disk is not backward thats what i did when i first got my wii

hmm.. I never played GC games on my Wii! O_O well anyway, I'll see yah around!

1: Insert disk into your wii (make sure the cd front is facing ---->)
2. Plug in your Gamecube controller into the socket at the top of the wii (remove the cover).
3. Pick up your baton (wiimote) and lift it up slightly and click on the 'A' button
on the upper left hand corner of the wii menu.
4. After that click the start button with your baton.
5. Next set your baton down and pick up the gamecube controller and start playing...

you did buy a cube controller?????

if you've got a wavebird ( the wireless GC controller) it has to be a Nintendo NOT a third party one 'cause the Wii will only recognise the official controller.
if it's wired then follow all the above advice
