Dose anybody else get the irony in hosting a massive concert that useies up a lot of power to tell us to stop usein electric

Also they got the order of stars mixed up for the UK gig

Genisis first
Maddona last (didnt watch)
Pussy cat dolls ather Spinal tap (the fuunyest)
They cut off Metalica for some pointless talk (and they put on Linken fu(king park)

You can watch it on MSN, I tried, and it's horrible quality, so I haven't seen any of this =/

Wait.. pussy cat dolls AND spinal tap, like together?

AHH but they were 'doing their bit' by using some solar power [/irony]

Meh, I still enjoyed watching the concerts.
But yeah Madonna ending the london show, not a good choice at all.
New York and London had the best stuff though, way better than rio and australia.

Typical celebs lecturing us to boost their ego. I wonder how many of them flew in on a fuel-guzzling plane to play there?

Looking at the line-up it seems I didn't miss much?

lol yeah i was gonna make a thread like this but it was to promote AWARENESS so all in all it was ok, and no sipinal tap called on metallica and cranked with them, been watchn it all day!

Id say it was quite good

you do relise that the people going to it make a bigger carbon footprint than the actual concert... so people going was stupid!!

just so you know they worked it all out before the concert (sure not exactly but close enough) and i dont know how they figured it out but the concerts as a whole were going to have no carbon footprint at all, guess they must have planted a shytload of trees lol

Oh and
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/07/07/AR2007070701201_pf.html

Would take 100k trees planted to offset the effects of live earth.
considering everyone there was encouraged to plant a tree...if half of those people planted a tree- one tree youd off set it 10 fold. Pretty good chance that out of 2billion people at least 100,000 will plant a tree or change the way they do things. If your interested vagrant ill email you the paper im writing on it once im done?

Evidentally you didn't read the actual article.

And 2 BILLION people? Thats 1/3 of the population of the world...That number was just used as an estimate for who all will be able to watch the show on television. I highly doubt 100,000 people are going to go plant a tree.
