Linux on the Wii?

Does anybody know if there is a project to run linux on the Wii. As I understand it homebrew Gamecube works on the Wii, does that mean Linux does as well?

Yes, there is a project, it's at www.wiili.org . I dunno how they're going to do it, but so far they are going to play with a mod chip for a bit.

yeah they are making a bootable linux cd..that the wii just runs off of it~
