latch on the back of the classic controller

Anyone know what the latch on the back of the classic controller is used for?

i was thinking maybe the CC has motion sensing too, and it might be for some type of thing for it to sit in, similar to the racing wheels and ****. seems not likely but it's the best my pot addled mind could come up with

I think you clip the Wiimote on it but I'm not sure since I don't have one to try it with.

The purpose for these slots remains undisclosed

but i believe i also saw some where that is where the wii-mote connects to but that could be a different slot.

KNow what Id like to see... A holster for the wiimote when yer playin with the classic, just incase if you got that urge to walk away with it in yer hand, I do, its wireless and thats in my head...
