Firstly, thanks for taking the time to mail. We appreciate the time and effort involved in mailing, and enjoy hearing from the people who play our games…. we think it’s one of the things that has kept the brand evergreen for so many years.

In answer to the issue you highglight in your email, I’m afraid that online will not be present in A Space Oddity. While I appreciate many gamers would like to see that feature, we’re not able to change the release date due to contractual obligations with THQ.

I’m really sorry that I can’t be more helpful in this instance, but hope that you appreciate the effort and love that we *have* put into the game. Whether you end up purchasing it or not (and I can understand if you’re a hardcore fan of the game, maybe “Worms Open Warfare 2″ on PSP or DS: two online-centric versions of the game, would be a flavour you’d enjoy more), I’d like to thank you for taking the time to mail and say that we greatly appreciate the feedback we get from fans of the game.

Shame that THQ wouldnt put the release date back a bit to let them include the online, in fact its pretty dumb as it would sell better with it.

Worms used to be a really fun game though so maybe it'll still be worth picking it up.

I was thinking about getting that game but without online forget it

Eh, I don't think Worms is as good in full 3D walk-through levels. Is this one like that or more the classic?
I think online would be extremely useful to this franchise but whether or not it really would be practical is beyond me (because I've never experienced online for Worms).

Same for me. I was absolutly sure to get it when there werent any cool games coming out. But now I probably wont ever get it. Unless I see it as a budget priced game somewhere because the graphics look good and lets face it: Its worms !

Yeah, the game is worthless without online. Singeplayer in Worms games ALWAYS sucks. The AI is always super terrible in that they only use a few of the basic weapons among other things. Local multiplayer would still be fun, but you're going to have to wrangle people into playing it. If you've got friends who will play it, it still might be worth a purchase (although maybe not for $50). Otherwise, there's not much to see here.

Too bad. I was REALLY looking forward to this game with online and all. Not anymore.

What I don't understand is why they advertised the game as having online and promising online in the first place, when the game clearly did not have online; they were counting on pushing back the release date to put online in, which means it has never been in there in the first place.

How about this don't promise things until it's actually already in the game!

People get angry at Nintendo for delaying games, but here's a case where a game should be delayed instead of pushed to market.

damn THQ all there after is a fast quick buck, which they will get but even push it back a month or so and it would sell x3 more if not more.

this off my want list £40 for a worms game which has only single player.

and the bad thing is i dont see them bring out a sequel if dosent sell well which i think will happen.

(omg the ds and psp has online and the wii dosest that make no sense)
