Ok, there is no reason to take up so much space with this message:

Hello Link774 it appears that you have not posted on our forums in several weeks, why not take a few moments to ask a question, help provide a solution or just engage in a conversation with another member in any one of our forums?

It is extremely annoying to have to scroll past it and I don't feel like posting just for the sake of it. Can't I just lurk in peace? Thankfully my complaint about this will count as posting, so I won't be annoyed for another few weeks. I guess I can just complain about it again when it comes back.

Yeah, most forums do this type of message to ensure you actually use it instead of taking up user space.
