Japanese Wii, with Wiikey + Pirated PAL games?

Need to know this very quickly....
Can you play pirated PAL games on a chipped JAP Wii?
I'm not into downloading myself, but I'ts a question I would like to get an answer on.

It's still "pirated" if you copy your own discs in my opinion.

Yes, you can do it. Just make sure that your Wii is completely updated before playing it, because if not and the game has an update on it then it will be bricked...
