Japanese Wii help

Hi Im new here. Im after some help with my japanese wii. My parents brought it back from Hong Kong where the shop told him it was chipped. It all works ok when u put it on but it doesnt reconise any games. Ive tried an english game and a copied game. Whats the best way to go about this? Will I have to buy Japanese games and if so where from? Any help with be great thanks. Also can u change the language on them?

Your Wii probably only accepts that language so you will need Japanese games, you can get them online by ordering them. But, if I were you i would just buy a new one in America.

you can get some softwear for your PC called "regionfrii" that converts games to the region you live in

To the Thread creator: The Wii is region locked, so yes, you need Japanese games for your Japanese Wii

I think you need to buy Japanese games, but why would you buy one from Hong Kong if your from US, are you from US?:lol:

No Im from England.
I got one from Hong Kong as a present as u couldnt get them here and still struggling to find anywhere selling them for RRP.

Is there anyway of changing the language on the Wii.

And then converter.. how does that work?
