Issue with the online play?

New here so I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this but i think it is. I played Metroid online on the DS and alot of people used cheats such as health codes and damage codes, etc. I haven't had the chance to try any Wii games online but will we still have to deal with people using codes? Cheating is always a pain on online games, since its unfair and seems to ruin them.

Yeah, we still have to deal with the codes. Yah know? Like the guitar hero codes, etc.

Well i only asked cause my friend told me Nintendo was blocking people from the network if they found anything wrong with the systems like homebrew, which hacks/cheats need homebrew or something like that i think. Wasn't sure though. Hopefully some measures are taken so it doesn't ruin the online play.
