Is there a difference between the DS version of Mario 64 and the VC version of Mario 64?

cause ya know, the VC one is cheaper than a DS game.

The DS version is a remake of Mario 64 with some more characters and stuff.

The VC version is a port of the N64 version. So if you want to play the original N64 version, download the VC.

thanx, asking because I'm considering buying ZPH for a friend who doesn't have enough money, in exchange for Megaman ZX and Mario 64 (DS).
