We all know you shouldn't post your personal info on the internet!

Well, your supposed to google your email every now and then to see if you've been following this rule (Weird, I know).

So, I was wondering, which of you turn up results on google, and how many results?

Me, I turn up zero results, so I'm safe:yesnod:

Surprisingly enough both of my email accounts are clean.

I exclusively run Gmail. I'm good to go. (and even if I wasn't safe, would google tell me? )

My friend turns up one result when searching for his email. But when you search his user name, there's a long list of results. It had a few things he'd signed up to... don't think I should mention what.

I have the sense to use more than one e-mail account, so that serious stuff doesn't get jumbled with offers of porn, cheap stocks and viraga. Obviously I don't post my main e-mail address about the place. And obviously a username I use for forums doesn't get used to go on banking web sites.

Other personal details... I never give out my phone number or my full address. It'll take a lot of work to stalk me.

OMG! I have 3! one at wiichat.com! on some thread about friend codes for the wii i think....... One at ign boards and one at another forum type site But typing in my username i get quite a bit of sites that i usually go to.....(usually forums) and my bebo page. I turned up three results. All of which are from me posting one of my old emails on a website so others could add me. However for my personal email I turn up zero results..

I don't know how safe I actually am. I used to get over 3500 spam a month, but I managed to bring it down to under 1000. The high amount of spam was probably cause my email was on a website of mine... As soon as I got rid of the website, numbers dropped.

Yea it's never a good idea to post your email address online, anywhere.

Hmm there are even people with the same name as me where I'm from on that site, but nothing on me, I was surprised.
