Internet Channel used to work, now it doesn't-but weather and news does

My Internet Channel used to work, but for the last week it hasn't. Yet the weather and news has no trouble being updated.

Modem settings were not changed and my laptop's wireless connection as well as my desktop's wired connection work fine.

Obviously the Wii can connect to the internet if it downloads the news everyday... so why isn't my Internet Channel working?!?

I tried an update a couple of days ago when the news and weather was downloading o.k., but the internet channel wasn't. So, once again it proved that my internet connection was fine because it did connect to download and at that time it said it had the current version. Now I can't try to update because I cleared and re-entered my connection settings and now all internet services are down. This makes absolutely no sense for the connection to break down in this manner. I'm thinking it's hardware...?

I dont think you could've tried updating a couple days ago...the update was sent to us via Wii this morning
