If there's a new Castlevania, should it be 2D or 3D?

Alright.
Some of us know Castlevania (I don't really -know- it. I've dabbled in the two DS versions, a GBA version, and a N64 version).


And it's an amazing series. Soul sets and all that good jazz.


Though, the N64 one was 3D. I personally didn't care all that much for it over the simple amazing 2D sidescrolling ones.


So, you fellowses who've played it, you think the new Castlevania Wii (It's coming out.... Right?) should be 2D side-scrolling or 3D?

I think 2D is the way to go.. I've just never thought Castlevania looked right in 3D.

I would prefer a 2D Castlevania as well, the series was at its best that way and the 3D N64 game just didnt quite have the same appeal.

I'd like it a 3D sidescroller. Such as the New Super Mario Bros was.

Keep the same concept, but pimp up the graphics a bit.
