i wanna save the zora's son!

i need to save the head zora's son in the castle, but i have no clue as to how to get out of lake hylia and into the castle as link. as a wolf, i could easily warp to the middle level of the lake and then take that water passage down, but as link i can't warp. now i'm stuck at the bottom of the lake, shooting myself out of that canon out of sheer boredom. help?

goto the weird looking guy in the lake and have him shoot you up to the chicken place then leave through the door not by chicken off the ledge.
