How to get a deleted saved file back?

I have just deleted a saved file by a mistake on super mario galaxy 2. This was not saved on a memory card, is it possible to get it restored? I dont want to start over!(i was in the end of world three)

Sadly you cant.
Once a save file is gone that's it.
(recently saved over my Devil may cry 3 save file with a fully complete Dante save and I nearly broke the controller in two)

Sorry to hear about your problem but sadly you can't get that saved game back. Unlike computers have a System restore function, once the save files are deleted they're gone sowwy bout that little mishap.
