how do i save game progress

hi every one, just got a new wii from santa and not very clued up ! just wondering how to save my progress without having to go back to the start, do i need memory card ? if so what do i get ? cheers rainy13

What game are you talking about? If it's a gamecube game, then yes you require a memory card. Wii games save onto the wii, so no memory card is required.

I'm quite sure that the game automatically saves.

If you use a game cube game then yes, you do need a memory card and you put in Slot in at the top of the Wii. If its a Wii game,the Wii has built in memory and can save a decent amount of memory (1000 something blocks) and some games automatically save by themselves. Like Wii sports, Wii play, Boogie, Guitar Hero, most games, ecsept Roll Playing Games (RPG) then you just go to the "save spot" hoped I helped ^_^
