You can't, you need broadband. Or try connecting through someone else's wireless network.

As in, you're NOT connected all the time, and your Wii has no way of 'turning on' your connection for you. Make sense?

i had my wii conected to a dial up conecction
1)use the nintendo wi fi conector like you would use it on a DS.you can make updates,browse the net(if you have the browser),use the mii channel,but for some reason you can not conect to the virtual console.
2)get a wireless router,go to control panel,network wizzard set up and create one using the dial up conection,and again,you can do everything exept conect to the VC.
youll have to keep the PC on thou.
