Its not me, but the name wont be uncommon, TARDIS stands for Time And Relative Dimensions In Space, which is the name of the Time Machine in the popular british Sci-Fi show, Doctor Who. (if your british, and you dont know what it is, you've been living under a rock for the past...40 years)

The Doctor and his Ex-Companion, Rose Tyler

The TARDIS, TARDIS' are supposed to change shape to blend into the time it lands in, but the doctor landed in the 1960's, when police boxes were commonplace in britain. When he left, the device that caused the change broke, he grew fond of the blue box, and decided to leave it broken. The TARDIS' most famous feature is that its MUCH bigger on the inside than on the outside.

The Doctor with his latest companion, a medical student named Martha Jones. We have only just been introduced to her this year (last saturday)

Doctor Who has been around since the 1960's, and vanished during late 80's,due to dwindling ratings. In 2005 the series was revived to a whole new generation. Doctor Who has now become considerably more "cool" than it was in the past. David Tennant's (see all the doctor pics above) incarnation of the doctor has been voted and awarded for being the "coolest character on british telivision".

In the event of the doctors death, he can regenerate, which means he changes his body, and in some cases his personality, David Tennant is the 10th actor to portray the doctor, and, as i have said, has made doctor who popular.

I know i've gone on for ages, but im really bored, its late, and Major Tom sparked my Doctor Who enthusiasm.
