Ok, Im at the part in TP where you have to bring the children and the older people back from the village, the kids say cant you do something link, there must be something you can do in the mines. i cand past the first gaurd that rolls at you and pushes you off the ledge. how do i stop it, i try pushing and holding A but it just keeps pushing me off, thanks for any help

You could try and catch him all day long but it won't do you any good. You need something first. If you are still stuck, here is the solution:

You need to go back to the Ordon Village in the begining of the game and speak with the Mayor. He will teach you a new move and give you a pair of Iron Boots that you can use to catch the Goron.
