Help please Resi evil umbrella chronicles

Sorry this is slightly embarrassing,
stuck on level one , on the train how the hell do you kill the big monster that looks like a giant octopuss?

Shooting like mad and changing weapons seems to get me nowhere.
Tried using the zapper and the normal controls - no luck.

Please help before it gets launched threw the window !!!:mad5:

I haven't played the game yet however the best bet is thinking about vulnerable areas on his body, maybe shoot that the eyes?

shoot his mouth, then when he starts moving back, press A on the icon to move forward, try to get him into the light, then use ur heaviest weapon

Yeah I had a bit of trouble with this too. Basically use your pistol for shooting the mouth and then give it all you got with the shotgun when it is in the light. It took me around three attacks with the shotgun to get him dead.
