Help! have I done something wrong?

whenever i go into wii parade i always get the message there is nobody here i have chosen the travel setting but nothing works. what do i need to do?

connect online and have wii friends with there miis set to travel and mingle. these wii friends must be in your wiis address book.

well that explains it as only really just got my wii and don't know anybody else with 1
