Can anybody help? Iv just brought a wii and i need help to connect to the net,,

I have only got a thompson modem and a mac pc with broadband.
The modem does not have any ports only the phone line port which is used,
What can i do..

ps, iv already brought the wii lan adapter thinking it was ok

Have you tried hooking your Wii online to wireless? It works great on mine.

no a LAN adaptor just recently came out!

You can hook it up wired or wireless on the internet settings.

Also you can but the nintendo wifi adaptor which works really well for me. But you should give either the wireless or the lan adaptor a go as they are both supposed to work absolutley fine. If you are having trouble try contacting nintendo they will help

if your modem doesn't have any ethernet ports you will either need to buy a router or buy a nintendo wifi usb connector/wifi max

I am using the wifi USB and it works great, at times the page loads are faster than my computer.

I recommend it.

I never had a problem with mine, im using a DLINK router, just typed in my settings and it was online. Im using the Integrated WIFI card on the wii as well....

carlitos: Shoot, that is what I was afraid of. Is there any chance you can have them give you a normal modem with an Rj45 network connection?
