They use a code from the game. None of the online games use the wiis friend code.

i wanna get this but the price point is huge maybe ill ask santa for it (my fiance ,and rents) for xmas lol. 90 bux is alot for one game when i can get a couple normal games like battalion wars 2 ,and mario galaxy.

i can shop an everything just when it comes to the game i cant do anything it says the server is not available at the time
do i keep trying or is there something im not doing right

If you can get to the shop channel, and weather, news, etc, but the game itself won't connect, my first suggestion would be to look at your firewall router for an issue (DMZ, port forwarding, etc)
