As of 1/9/15, it seems like the wii Goldeneye servers are down for good. It's 3:30pm EST on 1/10/15 now and I just tried to play GE online and I get the same message when I try to start the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection in the Multiplayer mode of the game. It gets up to "testing connection" and then it displays this message: "Unable to connect to the game server. Please try again later."
Not too happy about this myself as I've continued to play GE online several times a week and haven't had a need to buy another FPS game since GE on the wii came out. Anyway, just wanted to say it's been fun to kill with you guys/gals on GE online for the past few years.
