Games from US, only playable online in US?

Hi there ..

I've been browsing these forums a lot but never really posted anything because I didnt have any questions But now I got wireless internet at my house so I tried to set up my wii for that. Worked fine and that, so I went here to see what games that I could play online.

I was thinking of buying Mario Strikers Charged and try that, but I saw that Battalion Wars 2 and Super Smash Bros Brawl was playable online. I can't wait for these games and I was thinking if I buy them from the US. I really dont know if the online gaming is set up into regions because I dont have any games to play online.

So here comes my questions

Games bought from the US, can I play them with my friends from Europe ?
Are the online playing part put into regions ?
and is wireless network okay to play online with? (It's like a 3 mbit connection or so )

4 the 1st ? yes u can but need 2 put in their friend codes
4 the 2nd ? yes we in america can only play with people in north and south america but put in their friend codes like in the 1st ?
