Gamecube game question

Ok, I am getting alot of differnt answers about this question. Here goes.
I want to play Mario: Thousand year door. I know I wil need a gamecube memory card. But, can I use the classic controller. And when I say the classic controller, I mean this on.

No you will need a Gamecube pad to play any gamecube games.

While playing gamecube games on the Wii console I use a Gamecube controller. I have 2-wireless wavebird controllers for Gamecube.
I suggest looking for them thru google as Nintendo announced they would not be stocking them in stores anymore but may sell them in their online store at some time in the future.

Can you use the wireless wavebird controllers for gamecube on the WII system?? Or do you have to use the plug in controllers?? Thanks!
