Digital Leisure has today announced that classic live-action shooter Fast Draw Showdown will be released for WiiWare in the US on January 4th 2010 (price to be confirmed). Yes, now you can celebrate the New Year quite literally with a bang as you attempt to beat the best quick draws in the business, including real-life Fast Draw champion gunslinger Wes Flowers, with your trusty Wii Remote. Fast Draw Showdown was filmed at the Old Tucson Studios near Tucson, Arizona, using sets featured in several famous Western movies. When the game originally hit the arcades back in the mid-nineties, similar live-action games such as Mad Dog McCree, Phantasmagoria and Voyeur were extremely popular, but just like the heroes of the old West, they eventually died out, mainly because most of them were a bit rubbish, and we all decided that games with awesome jaw-dropping computer graphics were much better than games with cheesy live-action scenes.
