Hello, I was wondering how to use Ethernet to get the Wii to connect to the internet. Could someone give me a step-by-step process on doing so? I don't have any routers or ethernet cables or anything, so if I need those, could someone kindly give me a few links to the right websites? Thanks in advance.

to use ethernet (without a router) you need one of the following:-

1. USB to ethernet adaptor (for the Wii)
2. a PC or Laptop which has internet connectivity (using windows ICS)

or

3. a broadband modem with an ethernet LAN port. a USB modem (unless
it has an ethernet port too) will not work.

as for ethernet cables? pretty much any hardware or independent pc store
will have them. i tend to make my own so have no idea of the costs these
days, but i do remember avoiding "high" street electrical stores who charge
excessive amounts of money for something that is stupidly cheap to make.

personally, i would ditch the idea of connecting via ethernet to a PC (ICS)
and save a few £ or $ (wherever you are) and buy a compatible wireless
router.

see the "routers" sticky in the online forum.
