Ethernet Connect @ UF Campus

Alright, so I'm a student at UF. For the past year, I've been hearing about how all consoles were basically banned from being utilized on the campus network.

I've recently been told, though, that the XBox 360 has mystically been permitted on the network. Yeah, this kind of upset me since I have a PS2 and a Wii. I decided to check into the reason why this was, and I've found it.

UF's DHNet Policy said:
Attention All Students

Only computers (PC/MAC desktops and PC/MAC laptops) are allowed to be connected to a DHNet port in the residence halls and villages. Please do not connect wireless switches/routers and/or other unauthorized devices to a DHNet port. Video game systems are allowed in the residence halls as long as they support the 802.1x protocol. We are not restricting video game systems. If you have questions about what is authorized, please call the DHNet Help Desk.

Can I, and how do I, use the 802.1x protocol with my Wii in any way?

Thanks for any help I get.

Your typical wireless router supports 802.11b and g. The Wii can use that, as well as the DS.

What if I have to use Ethernet? UF has another stupid rule where I can't set up a router.

Alright, I've found where DHNet shows me how to set up my game console. It says that I need another Ethernet port... but I have a laptop.... So I only have and can only have one port.

How do I get a second port that connects to/from my PC without using a router that would change my IP?
