EA announced today that it will be releasing Hasbro Family Game Night 4: The Game Show this fall for Nintendo Wii. The game is based on “Family Game Night,” Hasbro Studios’ popular show for The Hub television network, and includes re-imagined versions of five beloved games, set to have families and friends on their feet and rallying to compete in their living rooms as they play the same fan favourite games as their TV counterparts.
In Connect 4 Basketball, the first team to shoot four balls in a row of one colour wins; in Scrabble Flash, teams scramble to re-arrange virtual word tiles, with the longer the word, the better the score; in Sorry! Sliders, teams push hard to get a bulls-eye or block their opponents with massive on-screen game pieces; in Yahtzee! Bowling, teams chase down score combinations as they “roll” giant bowling balls and attempt to knock down pins; finally, in Bop-It Boptigon, players are challenged to execute the right movement at the right time at an ever-increasing feverish pace.
If you do really well and come out on top after taking part, you’ll earn some big prizes from the Monopoly Crazy Cash Machine.
“With a combined four million retail and connected console units of EA’s*HASBRO FAMILY GAME NIGHT video game franchise sold worldwide, fans have really embraced the series and look forward to fresh and innovative twists with each new version,” said Chip Lange, General Manager and Senior Vice President of EA’s Hasbro Division.* “FAMILY GAME NIGHT 4: The Game Show will offer a completely new way to experience Family Game Night and bring these Hasbro game brands to life via motion sensing console technology, and is sure to delight families this fall.”
