Following on from the story below this one where Shigeru Miyamoto talks about broadening Zelda out for a more casual audience on Wii U, and also following on from the disappointingly few core games featured in the Wii U launch at E3, Gamasutra has yet more slightly alarming news in the shape of an interview with Take-Two Interactive Software chairman and CEO Strauss Zelnick, who told Gamasutra that he is “skeptical” at the chances of any of Take-Two’s core titles making it to the Wii U, although the company will be making sports and family titles for Nintendo’s forthcoming console. “We haven’t announced anything,” added Zelnick, when pressed on the subject of Take-Two’s more mature titles arriving on Wii U. So basically, that means don’t expect to see the next Grand Theft Auto game or anything similar on the Wii U from Take-Two. Still, at least we have Aliens: Colonial Marines, Assassin’s Creed 3, and Darksiders 2 from Sega, Ubisoft and THQ, respectively, to look forward to on the core gaming front.
