Does the wired connection have flaws?

I apologise if this question has been answered in other threads or if it is common knowledge, but I want to know if the wired connection has any flaws in connecting or other fields like the wireless connection...

in fact it most likley works better than wifi.
less room for error if you think about it logically.

I have some connection problems with Mario Strikers Charged, but I think it's because of the router settings. At least that' what Nintendo told me.
