Controller Question

I'm currently using a GameCube controller to play Donkey Kong Country on my VC, but there's one problem, is there any way to change the controls, because the buttons are all messed up and switched around making it almost impossible to run and jump,

help please?!? lol

Yeah I know what ya mean, been trying to press and hold down Y to run and B to jump and it is difficult (accidentally press A often and have to hold the GCN controller in a strange way). I don't think there is a way to change the buttons so the classic controller seems like the best for DKC.

He answered the question. But chose a bad route. Just use the VC Controller. It seems logical to use it for all VC Games. It was made for that purpose right?
