Controller and Multiplayer question

Ok im guessing the answer is no to both these questions but if someone could just confirm it I'd be grateful

1.Can the game cube controller be used for VC games?
2.Can two wii's with the same vc game d/l on it play the multiplayer option of the game, over wi-fi i mean?
