connection problem

When i try to connect to friend games in guitar hero it doesnt allow me. I was told i should open up ports on my router. I have a linksy wrt54g, but it says it wants an ip adress for the wii. Is there such thing?

To find your Wii's IP address: Somewhere in the Admin menus of your linksy router you can find the IP address of your Wii... The IP address is assigned to the Wii's MAC address. You MAC address should be similar to mine: 00:1b:ea:xx:xx:xx

im not sure if im looking at the right thing i see DNS1 and DNS 2 is that them?

nope... look for information in management or admin, or... information/troubleshooting... I'm not at home, but my model is a little different than yours.

typically your IP address are defaulted to 192.168.x.x on a linksys and the MAC number should appear similar to mine...

we may need help from one of these guys around wiichat.
