Confused about GC controllers...

Everyone keeps talking about how they are going to be buying wavebird controllers or will be using wavebird controllers for their wii.
Ive looks up the wireless wavebird controller, and it would be another $30 or so....can I use other wireless GC controllers?

Probably any Gamecube controller, wired or wireless, will work for Wii. Wii just emulates the Gamecube to play games and if those games were playable using some non-Nintendo Gamecube controller, then in theory they should work with Wii.

You could buy whatever controller you want to try out, rent a Gamecube game (if you don't own one) and try it out, or go to a place like Slackers and ask them to put in a Gamecube game and bring that controller you like. If the controller doesn't work, then just return it with the receipt. That's what I'd do.

ya you can buy them but it will only work for the gamecube games not wii games.:cornut:
