Wii owners looking for a bit more shooting action on their console will have to wait a little longer for Sega’s Conduit 2, which was due to hit shelves by the end of the year, but has now been pushed back until February. According to EuroGamer, Sega and the game’s developer High Voltage wants to spend more time incorporating new content based on the opinions of fans who saw the game at E3.

Judging by the latest screenshots released by Sega, the long wait for the Wii-exclusive game could well be worth it, especially as the game will now be supporting the precision control provided by Wii MotionPlus. The Conduit series is famed for its detailed controlled system, enabling players to customise and configure their controls as they see fit, including look sensitivity, turning speed, the dead zone and much more. Now with Wii MotionPlus, the developers believe that Conduit 2 will have the most responsive control system ever, as well as improved edge tracking and transitions to pointer control. Here’s Eric Nofsinger, Chief Creative Officer of High Voltage Software, talking about Conduit 2’s use of MotionPlus technology:

“Wii MotionPlus is something that the fans have been asking for since it was announced – we looked at it for the original game, took a look at its implementation in other titles, and ultimately felt that we could add to the experience in Conduit 2 by supporting it. It’s by no means required – gamers will have a great experience without it – but it does offer a level of extra control and adds value to those with the accessory.”
