Component VS composite, does it matter?

Component cables "work" if you have component inputs. Check your TV. With the old-fashioned "tube" screens, I believe you'd see improved picture.

You wouldn't get the progressive scanning; that's for screens that support that feature.

That wasnt the best comparison ive seen. One on IGN shows the difference much better, i'll scout around and try to dig that one up too.

if anyone is going to buy them i think u shud go for ones with gold connection as thats the best way for a connection(GOLD) as its the best conductor. the official component cable is gd but u will get better graphics with an unofficial cable with gold connections. like the blaze one

Check on the back for Blue and Green connections in addition to the basic RYW

Well my tv doesn't have that input but the Amplifier has it, will it work if I plug it into my Amp ?

I had a 26" square mono telly. Then ordered wii. I bought a new cheap Widescreen stereo telly 28" at the same time. Wii came after I got the new telly, so I hadn't thought about graphics being better or worse or seen any difference, but after actually seeing that link at the top, i can understand now that the old telly would have been crap, and I wouldn't have realised.

Still haven't looked at wii on old telly, not much need to now.
