well what you can do is open a internet explorer window and type in www.-your IP address (ex. 192.168.63.1)-.com and then it might ask you for a password juss type in admin for username and password and then something will come up and it should tell you all the info about ur WEP code n stuff...thats what i do with mine so maybe it will work with yours...good luck lol
Hello mates.
If you still want help please tell me so.
I have a linksys wireless modem/router WAG54GS and i managed to make it work with the wii console.
If i did it then anybody will do it. If you still need help just say so. Also you could join me in a chat (yahoo messenger : [email protected]).
Well here's some points in which you can have a look :
- check if in Contol Panel ------>Network Connections--------->Wireless
Network Connection -------->Properties------>Tab "General"----->
-->Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) ----->Properties if "Obtain Automatically"
is checked in both IP and DNS section.
- According to "gho5t" check in the "web based" configuration setting of the
wireless modem / router everything is OK.
You can access that by typing the IP address of the modem / router in the
field where you enter the web page e.g. http://192.168.X.X where X is a
number. If you do not know the IP adress of your modem router please go
to START ---->RUN----> and write down : "cmd". After typing this you will
enter the DOS mode. There you can write "ipconfig". After these you can
see the IP adress of the Ethernet Adapter Local Area Connection. The IP
under THIS section is the IP of the modem / router.
- In my opinion you should check the type of the "encapsulation" section
that is located in the web based configuration settings as long as other
technical information that could easily obtained by asking your Local
Internet Service Provider. I did it and it helped me A LOT.
To be honest you should start from this last. The install procedure (from the CD) of the wireless linksys modem / router was very easy and helpfull.
If i didn't helped as much as you wanted please ask me for a more detailed explanation.
Ahoy! And have a nice day!
P.S. Sorry for the delay i had some connection problems!
Your ISP knows which encapsulation method they use, so ask them!
When i open my web page configuration of my "linksys" modem / router this is the first factor i see.
I strongly asvice you to call your Internet Service Provider (the technical department) and start asking them!!! I am telling you it worked for me!
Btw what Windows platform do you have?
