Can This Wii Play GameCube Games?

Hi i'm thinking about buying a Wii from amazon but i want to make sure it can play GameCube games, i did some research but i'm still confused if the one i'm looking at is backwards compatible and i was wondering if someone can tell me if it is.

That's not the newest model; which is to say, the Wii pictured in your link is indeed backwards compatible. You were in the right to be concerned with your purchase, as the most recently released Wii model (the Wii mini) lacks the ability to use Wi-Fi, backwards compatibility with 'Cube games, etc.
