Can I stay connected to the internet with Standby disabled?

Hi.

I've been lurking here for a while, but only registered after I got my Wii. This was on Wednesday, so I'm obviously new at this.

How can I stay connected to the internet through 24connect while I have Standby mode disabled? Is this possible? Every time I disable Standby I am disconnected from the internet until I turn it back on.

I ask because I do not want my system to remain on standby whenever I'm done with it, but would rather have it completely shut down.

And so, must I always turn Standby on when I start my Wii and turn it off when I'm done to accomplish this?

The Wi cannot be connected of the internet if it is off, and the closest thing to off is standby mode which means it goes to this and stays connected to the internet, however try holding the power button for 10 or so seconds it should go red and then turn on and see if your connected, you wont be connected while red light is on however it may save you turning internet back on
