Just bought a wii, obviously! Off to US in a few weeks, can we get cheaper games there, and will they work with our TV? Also, was given some gamecube games, but they don't work - do we need to buy a controller?

ALSO...any suggestions for good games for a 6 year old? He's not allowed any that have realistic killing stuff.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give

You need a gamecube controller and memory card to play gamecube games on the wii.

Yea you need a gamecube controller. Their cheaper than wii remote/nunchuk. (Together) Well, for wii games for younger kids you could get Super Mario Strikers Charged. It comes out in the US on 7/30/07 (Although it may only come in stores later) Wii Play is also great. It comes with a remote and nine games for $50. Gamecube games that are good would be, any mario game really sports or no sports. Kirby Air Ride. He might be allowed Super Smash Brothers Melee, but I'm not sure. Its not really killing and it's animated, but it's just a really good party game.
