Little Orbit has today announced Busy Scissors for the Wii, a hairstyling game in which players get to perm, colour, shampoo, cut, blow dry and style hair using their Wii Remote. Assume the role of a top hairdresser as you attempt to boost your reputation and advance your career in a Hollywood salon by keeping your glamorous clientele happy. The game features over 35 hairstyles, 30 mini-games, 6 career levels and 4 game modes, and is best described as a mix of realistic gameplay, humour and entertainment.
The game’s developer, Manifest Oranj, spent months working with experts from the Tony&Guy Academy to come up with the real hair styles used in the game. The development team filmed demonstrations of each salon technique before re-creating them in 3D for the mini-games. Little Orbit has also teamed up with Unilever and TIGI to include virtual items from their Bedhead and TIGI Pro product lines, enabling players to use professional tools such as flat irons and curl sticks while sculpting their client’s look with Bedhead’s line of shampoos, conditioners, hairsprays and styling gels.* Here Joseph De Martino, brand manager, Bed Head, TIGI, shares his thoughts on the game:
“TIGI and Bedhead have always been about not taking themselves too seriously, staying on the cutting edge, and having fun. Busy Scissors is just another example of our commitment to those values. Students and stylists all across the country use our products every day to create all of the hair styles in Busy Scissors, so why shouldn’t we make those same products available in the game?”
Busy Scissors is due for release in September on the Wii.
